A Symphony of Nine

Our capacity appears to be a maximum of nine symphonies Beethoven, Schubert, Mahler; Dvorák too bravely tried to go beyond the ninth before early, they all passed away. The list; longer than those mentioned here; composers; who never wrote to ten. Was nine the limit of their vision? Or, can we not comprehend a tenth? Terry, hi! Nice to meet you, your thoughts, your poetry. I hadn’t realized this. Quite thought provoking. I shall have to mention it to Puccini — he is in my heavenly booster club. So glad painters, poets & choreographers don’t have the same block. I did quit writing for 35 yrs,but began again. Super writing!

Hi Sally, nice to meet you too and for your kind words. I have only been writing poetry for a few months, one New Years' resolution I actually kept! I enjoy entering the poetry competitions here, not to win, but it is satisfying when that happens, but it is allowing me to explore the various poetry types.
