A Sweet Homily
A Sweet Homily
The lavender scent on the fallen dew
Treasure the moments that brought things a new
Inside we pause to reflect over the kindness inside
Soft pillows to claim the ardent fields a new
A sweet homily in search of a passing few
Perhaps we have bitten off more then we could chew
The trees send forth their leaves with fallen embers lay
We will humbly pray to start the mood of the day
Nature beckons a new sound in the shade
To behold an open door willing to explore
Shades of grey tempers fly amidst the sun
We were once young having our time in the great fun
A charge of love in place of hate in patient decor
Let's speak softly into the night a chance to explore
Laughter is the best medicine amidst it's moderation
Love is the true essence of my existence amidst a new vocation
The sights and sounds of a circus has now come to town
Rejoice in the simple things in life don't sweat the small stuff
Bake some cookies for grandma in the corner of her home
Take out the garbage and clean your room no reason to roam
A sweet homily amidst a land of make believe
Through darkened portals we can see a glimmer of light
Keep hope in our heart through pillars of forces of darkness
A bat and a ball are both thrilling for a young novice
Choose to be open to a smile in the doorway of pain
