A Sweet Happening

Sweet things have happened to me
But the one I most recall
And as of today, I'd have to say
The sweetest of them all
Is when my dear son said to me
Just weeks before he died.
"You've been the best mom in the world."
I was so touched I cried.
We had no inkling he was ill,
I think God prompted him
To say those loving words to me
Before his light went dim.
He couldn't have known how his mom
Would treasure every word
And keep them close within her heart,
Sweetest words she'd ever heard.

2nd place

(This is a true story. I don't know if he felt it was the right time to say it or if it was all God's
doings)

Joyce, this is so touching. I had a brother who let us all know how much he loved us in letters two months before hit and killed while standing on a street corner by a drunk driver. I think some have "premonitions" of it. He is with God, I am sure (both your son and my brother). LUv, Andrea

A painful but heartfilled write,,, it is odd but of course something we treasure for a loved one to say something out of the ordinary it makes us think if they knew something was to happen but reguardess I'm deeply sorry about your son it brought a tear to my eye, the best of luck to you on the contest
