A Summer Ouch



He was playing glorious baseball in the sun!
His family jewels got cup-checked scoring a home-run!
His mother let out a loud yell!
While to his knees, he so painfully, fell.

I can't decide whether to grimace or chuckle. I think perhaps both at the same time! And if you can make me do that, you've written quite a versatile poem. Brings back LOTS of memories ~ Ex Little League Coach in Chicago

Grandson is at LL practice right now. I so admire you being a coach for LL. my daughter and her husband always busy with LL. all of you make the USA.. a better place. Positive and productive.And a great influence on kids,thank you, Gershon. I love doers, not whiners, love, Panagiota.xoxo

And such pain wakes a person to one of life's hard knocks. I have had that epic painful hit delivered unto me in a couple fights in my youth! Strong verse well delivered...

Richard, my grandson is a Little League All Star. He was here when I wrote that.i never knew that term till yesterday, he has been hit a few times in the rear with huge black and blue marks. A soprano? A cup-check? I can understand that...ouch..love, Panagiota xoco
