A Summer Fete

The children’s pet show, hoop la, bowls, With happy laughter in the air, The stalls of homemade jams and cakes, And smells of hotdogs everywhere. The Morris dancers with their bells, A beer tent full of merry sounds, The raffles, prizes, vicar’s speech, Collection box that does the rounds. Ah, such a lovely summer’s day - Until, of course, the rain stops play! For Lisa's Fair contest

What a beautiful rendition of a typical small town fair my friend! I remember these events when I was a child(way back when)! These fairs were so much fun to me, I had a blast! I just love your incredible write Jack! Great Work!!

An English Affair with a flair..Enjoyed reading the creative work this morn..Reads like a winner to me..I am glad that I chose this one to read today..This reads like years ago when the schools put on a Fall Carnival or Festival to earn money for the schools..Winning material for sure..Thanks for the kind review of my work..Daddy and his brother were at the Circus and the tent caught on fire..There is more to the story..I will have to write another one about the rest of the story...Sara
