A Summer Dream
I had a summer dream last night ,
In a paradise where blue birds fly .
For in your kiss I lost myself ,
As the world passed us by .
Such a sweet surrender ,
My soul wrapped in such bliss .
Your heart in tune with mine ,
Finding rapture in a kiss .
Expressing love in our eyes ,
That mere lips could not speak
The flame in our hearts ,
With a bright glow on our cheeks .
In that wonderful moment ,
As time would stand still .
We lost ourselves in each other ,
For to never lose our will .
I'd never tasted such sweet delight ,
Never knew such endless charm .
As I found myself in the shelter ,
Of your strong loving arms .
We gave to each other ,
All that we possessed .
For certain that in our love ,
We would always be blessed .
Time will never begin to tarnish ,
The sweet dreams we have made,
For the light of our love ,
Will never begin to fade .
What we have is meant to last .
Even when the last leaf has fallen ,
As a summer dream drifts past .
.
