"a Summer Day"
Back when I was twenty I was on a trip...
A bunch of guys and plenty to sip...
I thought I had all the lines in the book...
Till this beautiful girl passed by me and that's
all it took....
We walked and talked for hours on this South
Carolina beach...
Everything was like a slow movie and her words had a reach...
We cuddled for an eternity it seemed as the sun stole
our day, the sky was our blanket as the sand is where we lay...
Told her my deepest desires of one day being in a band,
she gazed in my eyes and I fell in her hands...
Read her my first poem back then and she smiled and blushed
as we made love to the sounds of the waves...
I new she was leaving that morning, but I always look back to
that wonderful day....
