A Street Scene

left low concrete wall
dry March trees march inside
behind that
apartment where people are hiding
on a closed window
The unchanging marching March sunlight
crashing
falling
Forcibly planted at the end of the sidewalk
Dozens of lonely trees:
military parade line:
holding on by casting a shadow
Cars parking next to it
a Vender alone
greets me that she doesn't know
"March is marching."

Sounds so sad, and lonely in a world full of people and things. Well done. I enjoyed this poem. Ann
