A Stranger Like Me
The rain pouring outside the window pane
feels like a parade
Well the words I heard
and the words I used to say
Before the rain betrayed
erased the compliments and complex of the grey
A friend, well possibly more
I'm starting to see what I've been so blind to
the effects, how can it be
she's a stranger to me
a stranger like me
Cliche I know but I've been searching for a girl like that
but I'm too far away
The possibilities I want to present itself
cast me out to sea
How far away am I appearing to be
How far away I am right now
I guess I'm just trying to find my way out
The corners of my mind fade in and out
along with the rhythm of the
repeating drums setting off like sirens...
