A Strange Advance

POEM " A STRANGE ADVANCE " by martin gedge

Worlds away we siege the day to brave a new sunrise

an orbit in this atmosphere with automatic sighs

a love that comes electric so until the stars fall down

we run a prisoner in the dark to make this world our ground

we tune in sister radio this alien in time

we rock and whirl this island earth this distance down the line

and walk this watermusic in the chambers of blue fire

love games she played this lady blade controls me with desire

we hold the nite and challenge light a stranger lives next door

the second that I saw you there to hold you evermore

one chance a million crystal tears won't cry an ocean blue

lost in your eyes I realize that I am just like you

a strange advance a second glance a kiss into the dark

in wild blue these thoughts of you are running through my heart

a prelude to a perfect day the 2wo by means of mars

to race across this galaxy to satellite the stars

do what you want this space we haunt for fantasies we roam

the sounds of life will point the knife to find our way back home...
