A Story Never Told

They walk together hand in hand
By a little brook they stroll
Enjoy a picnic beneath the sun
Beside a grassy knoll

Noon time turns to evening
As they lie beneath the stars
The world it seems so perfect
This moment in time is theirs

Young lovers within their youth
Thinking love would always last
Peaceful were those days gone by
Suddenly becomes the past

Once they walked hand in hand
By a little brook they strolled
Now it's just a memory
A story never told.
