A State of Mind

My human connections
Is to feel your deep rejection
To feel my self walking in many different directions
Asking myself over and over again why did I let her in ?
Strange are the days since we were friends
And the laughter and tears that never ends
Pools of you fall into my hands trying so hard to understand ?
My human connection
I know I must look in me for the truth
Wishing for a little bit of youth
But the years go on and I always sing this song
So tell me I was wrong
When will I be at peace
Like a starving man at a feast
Longing for that human connection
Lord clear my thoughts help me see
The good and bad deep in me
Show me the way to happier dreams
Put away all those screams
