A State of Grace

I scream in the quiet
but you’ll never hear the sounds.
You said forever once,
I’m still living in that world.
You’re now a ghost,
living deep inside my heart.
I thought that over time,
I could let you go.
But I’m still choosing you.
Each night dreaming
lost and fading; like a falling star.
You’re the reason,
I still believe in love.
A state of grace,
as my soul is slowly dying.
So I spend my nights
in solitude, forever loving you.
I scream in the quiet
but you’ll never hear the sounds.
