A Star's Lament

As a star in the Milky Way's trillions
I am proud of my fans in the billions
The peace, the love, and the hope that shines bright
Makes the soul look forward to each new night

For reasons dim to me our loving God
Has enforced a rule that somehow seems odd
In all the physics he has imposed all 'round
He has blocked the travel through space of my sound

The sounds of my inferno are unique
Picture a million volcanoes at peak
Imagine all stars in the Milky Way
Putting forth the same sound both night and day

Humans may not be built for this much noise
But it is spectacular, girls and boys
