A Splendid Day
An old plaid blanket surrounds us, as we sit under the oak cross legged.
sipping on homemade lemonade and watching the grass sway.
We take our sandwiches from there bags and reminisce about our day.
We laugh and cut up.
While nosy bees dip down close to our sweet ice-cream bars
we swat gently towards them because the ice-cream is ours.
The sun slowly starts to wave good bye to us as we pack up.
Our bare toes slip through the green grass as we head back.
I love days like this when life is easy.. I'll make sure to comeback.
