A spiritual place

You broke me down
temporarily,
but I'm in
a much better place
now,
mentally,
so I no longer hear
the sad songs
of betrayal
that once seemed
to play
endlessly
in the corners
of my mind.
I no longer replay,
rewind,
or remember
how or why I allowed
myself
to surrender
to your lies and alibis,
everytime
you broke our bond
by cheating on me.
See,
I have picked up
the pieces of my life.
I am no longer
a victim
of the dark side
of love.
I'm in a spiritual place
now,
emotionally,
so I no longer feel
the pain
of my heart breaking
yet again,
or having anger
and hurt
fill every inch
of my soul.
I no longer cry
myself to sleep,
asking
the question
'why',
or trying to recall
the happiness
we once shared.
I have rebounded
from you.
I'm no longer
a victim.
I'm in a spiritual place
now,
and I have allowed
myself
the luxury
to love again,
to breathe again.
I have found happiness
and have planted
my feet firmly
in a spiritual place.
