A Spirit Left Unreighned
I imagined I'd be dauntless-
With a heart that's left untamed;
A mind that's left unhaunted-
And a spirit left unrheined.
I imagined I'd hold to virtue,
And leave myself unnamed.
I thought I'd leave behind-
Without a second look;
Thought this mind of mine-
Would retain information like a book.
