A Spectral Change To Another Space

A spectral dream
to forestall
they can try
but can't prise my grip
from my tenuous grasp
of reality
in the dream
it's myself
i'm most afraid
and the night
is not my friend
when the ghosts
rise from the dead
and howl to keep me awake.
