A Souper Friend Corrected Copy 2

A SOUPER FRIEND

I searched the Soup, but failed to find 
Just one friend that I call mine
I'm in a tizzy now, you see
'Cause many of you are friends to me

There's Hinshaw, Cunningham, Silent One
Winged Warrior, Allison, Gauthier, and Dunn
LuLoo, Sandra, Andrea, and Brenda
Rhoda, Maureen, Anne-Lise, Lisa-Marie

SKAT A, Poet Destroyer, the list goes on
Without such friends, I'd be alone
I know not how to devise an exhaustive list
I'd leave some out -- you get my gist

Ibeh, and Lee, Sr., McGuire, Messina
Lamoureux, McGee, and Lady Regina
Arturo, McConnell, and Wigley
All these names make my brain squiggly

Wendy, Panagiota, Kim, and Darlene
Buhagiar, Barden, Gershon, Emile
I could type the names of many others
Who seem to me like sisters and brothers
  
And if your name is not on the list
As I said before, many will be missed
But never fear, you're still in my heart
And always have been right from the start

For sponsoring such a contest, I still can say
I even have a good friend named Bobby May
So don't get mad if you don't see your name
I still love you just the same

So ends the list in the essence of time
And I will now just close this rhyme
And submit it for Soupers as a To Be Read Only
And call you to mind so I won't be lonely

I'll just relax and thank the Lord above
That I have so many friends to love
And say to the thousands of Poets at Soup
Every one of you are friends in my group

Winged Warrior October 9, 2019 at 6:35 PM Curtis, you old jigging fool lol...I can call you that cause you're my friend...how are you young buddy?...hows that better...I see you placed me 4'th on your list...you could have squeezed me in between 1'st & 2'nd lol...none the less I appreciate it my friend...proud to be on any list lol...especially yours, old-timer lol...always in my thoughts & prayers Curtsy baby...love & respect...^WW^ :o) Curtis Moorman October 9, 2019 at 6:58 PM I actually thought of placing them in alphabetical order, but that would have put you in last place. I couldn't allow that! So, I jogged when I should have jiggled! You may have ended up in 4th place in this poem, my jiggin' friend, but you are numerous uno in my book! This ol' Georgia Boy knows the value of real friendship. We will be jiggin' buddies 'til we meet in glory!

I sincerely appreciate their support and encouragement but they are so numerous it would take a tome to list them all, therefore, I didn't enter the contest but I think they know who they are! Bob H
