A Soulful Moan

Take me back
My soul's time has come
Take me back
Youth I long
My old soul is close to death
Scared now-take me back

The death of my Uncle Joe inspired this work. My Father (now the last of 13 children in his family) told me some years latter how Joe (youngest of the 13)was so scared of death as he lay dying in a hospital bed. Dad being a preacher at that time, discussed the hope of eternal life with God; giving Joe assurance in God's promise to his believers. I have often wondered how scary death must seem to the unbeliever. Thank you all for your comments!
