A Sonnet To a Poet

I have looked everywhere to find you
Through the night, through the rain, it was in vain
Darkness swept over me without a clue
Leaving a mark in this heart's stain.
There is no light to fill this whole life
I cannot see a lady so fitting
Here I am in the midst of this strife
Although not valued but still breathing.
My search for you has finally ended
There you are in front of my reflection
By the mirror you stood embedded
Your smiles that gave life to such perfection.
There's no need to travel far and wide
Just by your side my whole love I confide
