Love songs
have been written,
been sung
throughout the ages.
Some are soft,
succinct and sweet,
others
just fill the pages.
But this one,
is different
it's something
completely new
because this one,
that I've written...
is a song for you

Your love is like,
the fresh morning dew
refreshes and energizes all that I do
Your love is like
a warm southern breeze
caressing my soul
putting me at ease
Your love is like a river,
flowing deep and true
carries me away to places
I never ever knew
Your love is like the ocean,
filled with sunken treasures
waves of love crashing over me
spilling forth it's pleasures
Your love
is like the stars,
shining bright
against dark sky
constellations blazing
just for me,
I don't even ask why
Your love is like
the mountains,
majestic and awe inspiring
climbing higher, ever higher
the peak, I keep desiring
So I hope,
you really love this song
as much as I do
It is something
so different,
something totally brand new
It's not just any love song,
filled with I love you's
This song I've written is special
because it's a song for you
