A Song For You

Played sweetly
In notes of serenity
Lifting mind before spirit
Body and drifting soul

Rustling leaves my cymbals
Distant thunder the drums
Lightning silver flash
Waking your beautiful eyes

Love sung
From life's guitar
Slender neck and body
Strumming heart chords softly

Jingle jangle memories played
Out loud
Joyous thoughts my tambourine
Living in graceful tempos

Your wispy silken back
My piano
Tracing by ear
Fingers caressing remembered keys

Lips gently press lips
Ringing bells heard over and over
Love now,
Chiming so crystal clear

"A poem to me is the essence of any thought,
Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky.
It can fly like no other bird to places never seen,
Even spaceships can only dream of taking its place."
