A Soldier's Tears

drip, 
      drip,
      drip...
heartbreak 
      from sad of eyes. 
hushed teardrop 
      snakes down 
the side of 
      a fallen soldier's face;
lying moribund, 
      he's cradled by... 
brother in arms.
