A softer glow from sunset's chandelier Warm kisses on the pier of surrender Reflections captured by lover's so clear Romance entangles when evenings render Silhouettes shade where the horizon meets Timeless and breathless when passions persist The Sea's slow metronome measures heartbeats Inraptured kisses and a twilight's mist To feel the soul shimmer beneath the sky Hear the Sea lap on the poles of the pier Find quiet realms in the calm of an eye That silently lift whenever I'm near The beauty of love we found by the Sea Kept close to our heart a silent decree 3/26/18 contest Picture This image 3

Your title, "A Softer Glow" is so fitting, Frederic. We often get caught up in the passion and desire, its heat and fire, we tend to forget or overlook the 'softness and gentleness' of love, which you remind me of superbly well. :) Congrats! ~ Artsie

I like the line - hear the sea lap on the poles of the pier - and a great ending to the poem too. Congratulations for your win Frederic :)
