A Sock Story

I am a vibrant shade of red, And my human wears me to bed. I am part of a pair, And we live in the sock drawer, always there. Sometimes we get dirt on us, And we can hear our human fuss. Into the big washing machine, So we can get clean. The soapy water feels so good, As it should! But wait! Where's my mate? He is nowhere to be found. Was he left on the ground? Into the dryer to get dry. I feel like I'm going to cry. Round and round we go, But Tom does not show! Laundry is folded in the room, And without Tom, I meet my doom. Into the bottom drawer I'm put. I see many socks for just one foot. I have made many new friends, And that's how my story ends.
