A Smile Kept

I had a dream today when I was awake....
Saw an old friend with nothing at stake....
Said words we never could get out before....
Times have changed and so closed the door....
But a smile came back with some piece of mind....
And some old wounds have healed that were not kind....
Got a chance to remember without all the pain....
And so our lives have missed ,we both changed lanes....
I hope the smile is for you too, and a peaceful sleep....
So glad this dream came today, and a smile I could keep...

Definitely a favorite for me, Michael! Whenever you are able to make amends and restore a friendship, it is like a (day)dream come true! I was thinking about this very topic earlier today. Awesome! Love, Carolyn
