A Slithering Circle

The big,
and less than reasonable world
is so much more
 than you and me

there is no handling
of life

this is where
 I was meant to be

not you, Serenity:
the name of one
of my ball pythons,

Victoria is
the smarter snake, 
a boa constrictor,
who innately 
understands patience
and the way 
life 
was meant to be
