A Sleeping Giant

Eyelids heavy with sleep
I suffer in silence so deep
Mentally ill, be quiet and still
Depressed and anxious at will

The circadian rhythm disrupted
My health surely corrupted
The economy they blame
Illness and politics the same

Take-over bids abound
Power struggles all around
Capturing bodies and souls
The voters barely know their roles

Some nice use of words in your poem, which is expressed really well..
