A Sixteen-Year-Old

A sixteen-year-old
from country parts
dates a mature man.
He suggests to her
what he does want
but she does flinch from him.

Innocent lamb
not long from convent school
and deeply frowning nuns...
An image of one
in a black cape
will crown their wedding morn!

Fast forward the years
and man has gone.
He couldn't win
with a black skirted "nun"
and all her rules...
Even "missionary" was banned.
