A Sinner's Prayer
Lord:
I know I don’t look to you enough,
Even though I should
I know I don’t always do the right things
Even though I should
I know I am a sinner
I know these things
But I also know,
That you, Lord…will answer my prayers
And so I pray to you,
To ease her heart…her burdens
My best friend…so tormented, so afraid.
Please Lord, I ask you,
To watch over her, and protect her, and heal her
I pray that she find the happiness that she deserves Lord
We both know she’s better than I
So please Lord,
Ease her heart…
Take her burdens and cast them upon me
We both know I deserve them
So Lord,
I ask that you do these things for her
Because she needs them and deserves it
I pray to you Lord for your help
And I thank you Lord
Amen…
