A Simple Rose
I wonder if a rose understands her beauty
Does she know why people stop and smile?
The thorns ever guarding the rose's petals
As they blush red with constant denial
Painting the earth with her crimson heartbeat
As the wind's warm breath whispers her name
The birds flock together to admire her grandeur
While all the other flowers talk of her fame
A rose is a gift that makes the world better
For it's defined as our flower of love
A dozen red roses can say please forgive me
Or suprise someone you're thinking of
The rose is a rose and was always a rose
This saying is absolutely true
A flower that says so many things
Now I'm sending this rose to you
