A Simple Repose
There is solace in the silent stone
There is serenity as feathers brush a quiet breeze
There is tranquility in the ambient veneer of placid water
There is composure with every free falling leaf
There is grace as birds are freed from their earthly bounds
There is contemplation in the consolation of rooted trees
There is stillness at the edge of obscure night skies
There is silence in the hushed standstill of winds
There is singular joy in every heart that knows
For this is nature’s harmony
In every moment of placid stillness
Speaking its ancient language of ‘forever’
Delicately promising a simple constancy
Sighing within each breath
Witnessing its beauty
