A Simple Refrain
a sweet refrain walking in the rain
a child’s game walking in the rain
winds rustle leaves, nature’s song
a sweet refrain walking in the rain
cool relief from a sultry day
I step outside walking in the rain
light diffused veil of clouds
time shadows me walking in the rain
lush green leaves a summer day
weather front I’d say walking in the rain
the sun rests leaves dance
I listen to summer’s song walking in the rain
a wave of the arms imagination wings
childhood relived I’m walking in the rain
nothing to lose everything to gain
a simple joy found walking in the rain
