A Simple Love Song
Take my hand and sit with me
Spend an hour or two
Allow me to romance you
No words will ensue
Let me strum on my guitar
I have a little song
I'm writing for you Bluebird
That's taking me too long
I really want to finish it
I think I need to sit
With you there in my presence
Then every note will fit
Your smile, the inspiration
Your eyes, the lasting ink
Someday my devotion
You'll like it much, I think
Just a simple love song
A musical tattoo
A song not to be written
For anyone but you
