With a long groan, I roll towards the window
Suddenly the warm sun rays lather my bare skin
It dawns on me how blessed I am
The simple privilege of waking up and feeling comfort
In these moments, God is real

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
