A Silver Creek
As night creeps in with a temple gong
The sunset colours the sky in a song
Like the sun departs at horizons feet
We are all part of the same cosmic beat
I lay my body down on this earth
Who knows me so well from my birth
My heart now one with her soul
Yes mother, I have performed my role
When we leave, we leave some part
of us behind
And what we take with us is very hard to find
Your wisdom walks with me
Your advice not far behind
No matter that this tale will cease to be
In every silver creek, it’s you I seek and find.
