A Side Walk

Opening my eyes for the very first time, I saw a glorious face who looked just like me. Admiring and giving me warmth, holding my tiny little finger, promising to never let me go. We grew up together, seeing each other's ugly faces, playing with dolls , fighting over clothes and chocolates, pulling each other's hair. That was our meaning of love which our mom failed to understand. Fortifying each other from every harm, sharing laughter, wiping tears, sharing secrets, clicking pictures and playing until we were exhausted. Those were best times we will always cherish Just like pizza and cheese Until we realised we were old enough, she disappered, far away, to start a new life. Leaving me behind, leaving those toys and clothes and the never ending hugs. Every single second I felt broken with no one to fight or laugh with. She broke her promise to never leave me. But neither did she have a choice. Yet, in our hearts, we make a pact. Never expressing how much we miss the other as we yearn for the endless love. We seek those magical moments over the video calls, but in vain. As I am waiting for our next hug, I realise how lucky I am to be blessed with a 24*7 Best Friend who made my bad times good and the good times unforgettable!!
