A Shallow Man

I'm tired of this one-way street I'm livin'
Ain't gettin' as much as I am givin'

I took her from the bright lights and rainbows
She lives life whichever way the wind blows

My mind says to me, "Son, just let 'er go"
But my body says,"Please don't say it's so."

For she's got somethin' no one else has got
Can't tell you what it is,but it's a lot

Some say that I am just a shallow man
Look at her - I'm doin' the best I can
