A Shadow Shows and Tells
Listen to poem:
Before suns were born
I lay in void of darkness
worlds slept in my veil
then light fired from a word's mouth
I was driven to the edge
now I walk behind
following you like a dog
fugitive from light
I compile dark thoughts in shade
knowing you won't look my way.
I am what light shuns
what the stars can never burn
what sticks onto you
when you embrace me at night
to dream our dark thoughts alone
