A Shadow

a shadow
one night in my room
a shadow
behind the door
a shadow 
a past unknown
a shadow
living or  dead 
hidden behind my door
a shadow dark
like a ghost  running  in time
hiding and hiding
behind the door
running and running
behind the door
running from the past 
running into the future
running
like a torch looking for it’s off-switch
disappearing into my sleep
a shadow
