A Serious Poet

Won't you consider me a serious poet?
Just give me another try.
If you love me, but just don't show it,
then how long can you deny...

me of your adoring praise?
You must know how I long for it
through the lengthy nights and days,
and yet you say, "What is this sh*t?".

That's a brilliant rhyme there at the end, i.e., 'sh*t.' I don't recognize that word, however. Is it a new word? ~ Mr. Clean
