A Series of Disasters

If it's not one thing it's another An unending series of disasters First a flood in the basement then Our ceiling starts dropping plaster Sure'd be nice to go through a day Just lazing around in the sun Dreamin' bout ice cream sundaes Instead of things coming undone Is there ever a single moment When things go totally smooth When hassles are nonexistent And good vibes literally ooze Much better than the alternative I really do have to admit Kinda stuffy in an old pine box With a “good until” limit Think I'm just gonna be thankful For all the good things each day Instead of forever complaining It's a whole lot better that way © Jack Ellison 2014

Yes, tis true, it is better being optimistic, but it can be harder to do sometimes! The pressures of life always try to ooze their way into the optimists life and bring even a great man down every once and a while! And I'm not a great man, so I too have my days, not to worry though, there are many other happier days out there at which to be optimistic again! It is much more fun being the optimist, I would rather bring a smile to someone's life than a frown! This is a wonderful poem, Great Work!!

Oh My! Hope those things aren't happening to you NOW! Our TV died and the washer went out. Saving to fix and replace both... Basement flooded early summer but fine now! Went to the laundromat before the storm hit... Groceries good. If the power goes out we have a fire place and gas kitchen stove that keeps the back rooms at 70 degrees... And Dragon helps, too. In emergencies... He's so sweet! Have a great day... and don't forget to Smile... Help him Cathie! I think he needs a little attention!

We can always find the good amongst all the bad! Attitude is the key... the sun is still shining somewhere on the greyest of days! xoxox
