A Sedoka Confession
Your lovely eyes light
my heaven at twilight eve.
I close my eyes and see stars.
Your nearness warms me;
why do I feel goose bumps rise
as I reach to touch your arm.
You look with love’s eye
beyond the shroud of nightfall.
My words seem without merit
they fumble and grope,
yet find lips warm and willing.
How little I know woman!
