A Scene
Beneath the autumn sky i lay
the horizon desloate in everway
no drop of life left in the wood of tree
no living animals do i see
the flowers withered and gone to hide
as winter come and life subsides
the sky is clear, a brisk blue cold
and here i lay with none to hold
frost lays a blanket upon the ground
the forest quiet with naught a sound
bundeled up with in my cloths
i see a wolf cub move upon the snow
left to die without its pack
its paws so small it leaves no tracks
stumbeling, like I, alone
this lonesome cub will share my home
beneath the trees of bark thats bare
snuggeled within our dark lair
the wolf cub will grow with i
both of us to learn to survive
it comes and rests its head upon my skin
with naught a thought of where its been
the only company it can find
it seems to know ill save its life
The only life to be seen in every way
and so beneath the setting autumn sky, we lay
