A Saugerties Night

The full moon caresses 
the starry night sky,
moving in slow motion 
across the expanse.
No street lights,
no head lights, 
just the moon 
in her full glory.
As I ponder upwards 
toward the light,
breathing in the cool, fresh, 
clear night air,
the stars seem to write my name
across the sky,
and that’s when I know
