A Sad Day

I remember...
the perfect love that you once gave to me.
Yet now,
the thought sends tears rushing to my eyes.
How quickly
life can change its course.
Once,
you filled me,
saving me from my slow death-
and I still can not find peace there.
With you,
I was free,
ever so careless
yet I had so much to believe in.
Now,
the verdict is in
as I go back to my cage of stone;
in the prison that my heart made itself
to greet the maker of morn-
its such a day of loss.
With your presences still lingering with me
making me unable to erase your memory.
Now the rain falls
because the answers i found in you,
turn into lies in your unmade mind.
My soul will remain lost
for it never completely found
what it was sent to this life for.
I gave you my heart
but you ran away
thinking that I was not here anymore.
So now,
it is my turn to speak,
to release what kills me.
With no sympathy or pain
because for you I feel no more.
I do not need your hand this time
I prefer to save myself
before you drown me too.
