A Rose Upon Thy Grave

Why place something as beautiful
as a rose

On something as barren as a grave

Why string a symphony

To accompany a bodies soul

When it is finally spent

Better an eerie silence

And a thorny thistle

To accompany on one's journey

To meet thy maker
