A Romance For Valentines

In my heart lives a rose That is forever in bloom Its sweet beauty grows When you enter the room. The rose fragrance tells me of its romantic intent Such wonderful beauty must be heaven sent I lie here dreaming of you. I am a wild rambling rose Thorns on my vine but hurt I do not impose From this heart of mine Though I am a man Prone to impediment With all that am I swear to repent I lie here dreaming of you. My beautiful rose I love you so much Love inside me grows with your every touch I treasure your beauty and of me you are part You become more precious to me With every beat of my heart I lie here dreaming of you.

just seeing this note here for the first time. Remember I rarely see replies on my comments. LOL. Darren, I wonder if there are many poems of yours I have not yet seen? I am way behind at Soup because I spent so freaking long on that ESL project of mine, but I want to thank you for seeing my latest poems. Let me quickly see if I can find a poem of yours I never read yet. maybe in the back page!!

I love how this is so rhythmic and flows smoothly. The ending line repeated makes it so nice, like a little song. This is how a man should write his love poems!!

Thank you Andrea, I think my idea of romance must be old fashioned , The British media is advising us to scour our newspapers for two meals for one vouchers and use those on our first dates , I'd feel a cheapskate doing that but apparently its in vogue , I must just be old fashioned.

I have that same problem. You get that funny idea and start to write and just it doesn't seem as funny as it was in your head

I tried to write a funny version first Tim seemed funny too as I was writing it . Then I read it. I'm an idiot. Thanks for the kind comments about this one.
