A Roller Coaster

Life is like a roller coaster
A rocky, rocky roller coaster
With hills, and mountains and windy paths

Sometimes I wish 
My roller coaster 
Of a life 
Would halt and pause and stop still

And then the thoughts that come to me 
Are of turning life backwards 
To an earlier and happier time

But deep, deep down 
In my heart
I keep on hearing the words 
Like a never-ending song 
In my head 
Never Run Back To What You Broke

And when I hear those words in my head 
I know that I have to keep my head up high 
And be happy 
With the Journey 
Of my Roller Coaster Life
